Dr. Charles E. Brown
Senior Pastor
Serving as pastor at Government Street for over thirty years the church has experienced very much growth over the years. He is committed to verse by verse teaching of God’s word each time we meet. Dr. Brown believes and teaches the importance of both mission ministries and home-front evangelism. He received his education at both William Carey University and New Orleans Baptist Seminary. He has pastored churches both in Alabama and Mississippi. Dr. Brown and his wife, Melba Roper Brown, have three children.
Dino Danzey
Executive Pastor of Administration
Dino Danzey serves as Executive Pastor of Administration. He has been in the ministry since 1999. Bro. Dino has served on staff in churches in Mobile and Baldwin counties. He holds a Bachelors of Arts from the University of South Alabama and two Master’s degrees from Liberty University. Dino and his wife have been married since 2001. They have two children, Mackenzie and Braden. 
Dr. Bruce Earnest
Worship Pastor
Bruce Earnest is an ordained Southern Baptist Minister. He has received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Administration from Westfield State University, a Master of Music Degree in Opera from the University of Miami, and he has completed his doctoral studies at the University of Southern Mississippi. He is the Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs and Director Musical Theatre at the University of Mobile and Producing Artistic Director Of the International Performing Arts Institute. He is married to Darla, and they have two children, Lukas and Rosalie.
Brooks Alexander
Education Pastor
Brooks Alexander accepted Christ at age 10. He graduated from Mississippi College and the University of Mississippi Law School. After practicing law for 17 years, he was called into the ministry in 1993. He then attended and graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity Degree. He served for over 5 years as a church planter and multi-housing minister in St. Louis, Missouri, and he has served for over 14 years as a minister of education at Government Street Baptist Church. His wife is named Cathy, and they have 2 adult children, Matthew and Walton.
John Baker
Student Pastor
John surrendered his life to the Lordship of Jesus at the age of 18. Almost one year later, he surrendered to God’s call to pastor on Father’s Day of 2013. John has served on church staffs in north Alabama and Mobile. He has served in childhood, youth, and collegiate ministries. John holds a Bachelors of Arts in Theology from the University of Mobile and is currently pursuing his M.Div. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He is deeply in-love with his Proverbs 31 wife, Ellisa, to whom he has been married since June 2017. John is committed to verse-by-verse, book-by-book expository preaching of God’s Word. His desire is to see a generation of young believers embrace the call of Christ to surrender their lives to the mission of being and making disciples.
Brett Warren
Camp Christian Director
Brett Warren serves as Camp Director for Camp Christian. He has been in the ministry since 2010 serving in various ministries and serving as youth minister and associate pastor for four years. He has been ordained into the Gospel Ministry, and is making plans to finish his degree from the University of Mobile. Brett has a beautiful daughter named Ella. 
Phi Vo
Pastor of New Life Baptist Church
Phi Vo was born in Vietnam and lived there until the age of twelve when he moved to a refugee camp in the Philippines. During his time in the camp he came to know Jesus Christ. Phi has been the pastor of New Life Baptist Church (Hội Thánh Báp Tít Đời Sống Mới) since its beginning on Thanksgiving weekend, 2010. Under his leadership, the church has grown through a variety of programs and Bible studies. He is married to Be Vo and has two children, Anhtai Phillip Vo and Linhan Jasmine Vo.

Bryan Townsend

Government Street Christian School Principal

Bryan Townsend serves as Principal of Government Street Christian School. He has over 35 years of experience in secondary and post-secondary education, operations management, and church ministry. He earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Alabama. Bryan’s philosophy of education is that Jesus Christ is the ultimate source and the ultimate purpose for the study of all fields of study (Colossians 2:2, 3). Therefore, Christian education should focus on nurturing the spirit and educating the mind through character development (piety and love) and rigorous academic study (truth and reason).
Bryan has been married to his best friend, Anita, for over 30 years. They have two adult sons and two grandchildren.
Deborah Eddie
Child Development Center Director
Deborah Eddie has served for over 25 years in various forms of childcare. As the wife of a now retired US Coast Guardsman, she has had the opportunity to be a part of many daycares, youth centers, and churches. Deborah has served in various church positions. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Child/Adolescent Psychology from Louisiana College. She has received certification as an instructor for Adult/Pediatric CPR, First Aid, and AED. Deborah also home schooled her two children who are now college graduates. Deborah resides in Mobile with her husband David.
